“Smart Driving Laboratory” introduced a large-scale upd ate of the Element mobile application for the iOS platform. Now you can automate the startup, speeding appeal, set the Face ID and PIN to enter, and all this in the upd ated interface.

Smart autostart

With our mobile App, nearly 15,000 users start their car engines remotely every day. Many asked to add the ability to schedule remote auto start. We went further, and added the ability to schedule automatic engine start not only according to the schedule, but also according to the temperature in the cabin and the battery charge. The new function “Automation” is responsible for this. Let's say you need to start the car fr om Monday to Friday at 8 a.m. before work, and every Saturday you carry your child at 14:00 to swim - now you just need to se t the necessary parameters once using "Automation" and every day at the indicated time your car will be wait for you warmed up or chilled depending on the weather. This function will also help you to avoid battery drain if you have gone on a trip for a long time, just se t up autostart when the battery charge drops to a certain point.

Data security

To increase the security of personal data of clients in the new version of the application, we added the ability to enter the application by PIN code, fingerprint and / or Face ID.

Speed violation challenges

Despite the regular updating of our own cartography, it is not always possible to quickly update information on speed limits, especially on small roads, or house adjoining territories. Therefore, our customers sometimes receive unfair penalties for violating the speed limit, which, in fact, was not. We are for fairness and customer feedback and therefore we have made the appeal of violations even more convenient: now there is such an opportunity not only in the Web version, but also in the mobile application. You can challenge the violation notice directly from the trip record, switching to a specific case, we will check everything and not only correct the estimate, but also change the speed profile of this road on our maps so that such errors no longer occur. It is useful to both you and us.

Travel management

We also added several new features that do not fundamentally change the application, but making it more convenient and intuitive. Let’s take for example, a travel calendar. Now you can view your trips for any selected period. It is now was also possible to hide any trip and to share the location of the car with friends directly from the application.

Support for international phone numbers

The Smart Driving Laboratory is growing and entering new markets. Our product has become available not only throughout Russia, but also in other countries wh ere we carry out pilot projects. Therefore, we added the ability to register in the mobile application from foreign phone numbers.

New design

But this is not all, we have seriously updated the design of the application, making it even more intuitive and modern. The status bar on the control screen, now displays the ignition and central lock status, weather information, the vehicle’s status, autostart settings. Automation and service mode are now located in the menu under the map. The control buttons have become more responsive (added an indication of the command and taptik). In general, the visual image of the application has become more minimalistic and simple.

Future plans

This year we will continue to develop the mobile application, making it even more useful and responding to user requests.

We plan to redesign the screen structure with notifications, to make it more functional. We are planning to redesign the main screen of the application, with additional services that “Laboratory” prepares for its customers together with partners.
